Southern Cross is currently a registered eSmart school

“An eSmart school is a school where the smart, safe and responsible use of information and communications technology is a cultural norm. Students, teachers and the wide school community are equipped to embrace the best these technologies can offer, while being savvy about the pitfalls.”

For the past three years all students and staff of our school have been working together to educate one another on using information technology in a safe and fun way. To help with the implementation of the eSmart program, by the ‘Alannah and Madeline Foundation’, all students and staff have signed eSmart agreements, to enhance a cybersafe learning environment.

At Southern Cross Primary School we have a zero tolerance of cyberbullying and any inappropriate behaviour at any time across the school, in particular whilst students are using technology. We also inform parents about how to provide a cybersafe environment at home.
