Parent Workshops
At SCPS we value the partnership and contributions of our parent community. As we move out of restrictions, we are looking forward to having our parents back onsite and actively involved in school life.
We are eager to get our Parent Helpers back into the classroom. Can you spare 15 minutes in the morning?
Reading every day is crucial in building Literacy Skills and one way you can support the whole school community is by listening to the students read their home readers each morning.
To get involved, we ask that you attend our annual Parents as Partners session in Term 1.
Here we share with you the approaches we use at Southern Cross Primary School to teach Literacy and ways you can support your child's development at home. All parents are welcome to attend this session, even if you are unable to help in the classroom.
More details will be involved through COMPASS.
