Building Future Stars Today!
Welcome to Southern Cross Primary School Endeavour Hills website. Please take the time to explore our wonderful school and catch up on all the fantastic learning experiences Southern Cross students have been participating in. We are very proud of our students and hope that you will enjoy reading about all of their experiences.Due to the high results in developing our children for secondary school, we have parents enrolling their children from surrounding suburbs such as Dandenong, Hallam and Hampton Park.
Restorative Justice is used at our school to help solve student issues. It involves students being asked a series of questions that allow all parties to have their say. It also makes the students accountable for their actions. This is helping students develop a toolbox of emotional intelligences to allow them to make better decisions in relation to the many social issues that may arise in day to day life.
Tribes is a fantastic part of the Southern Cross way of life. All students learn about
- Mutual Respect
- Attentive Listening
- No Put Downs
- The Right to Pass and Participate.
These values are used across the school by all teachers, students, parents and the wider school community. This fosters a caring enviroment where all students get along and work together to create a harmonious and happy school enviroment. The combination of Tribes, Circle Time and Restorative Practices establishes strategies for students to use in their day to day social interactions.

At Southern Cross Primary School Endeavour Hills we strive to achieve a safe and caring environment where individual differences and cultural diversity is respected. Our commitment to Circle Time unites teachers and students in an enjoyable atmosphere of cooperation. Circle Time is a fun, highly interactive and non-threatening environment that fosters engagement in young people. It is designed to increase:
- Understanding and valuing of self
- Understanding and valuing of others
- Positive relationships
Circle Time also builds resilience, promotes empathy, reduces bullying and fosters belonging; it is the perfect structure for our Tribes activities and supports our Restorative Justice program.
